Discord has been around since 2015 ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discord)
The service has around 350 million users. With the invention of Midjourney, they probably got a significant bump from their non-direct customer bases ( young people playing games).
So… why would Discord need to receive keystrokes from any application? Basically, putting a leash on everything you do on your computer outside of the server, such as your work, your emails, your browser queries, and so on?
The thing that bothers me the most is that it is 2023. If you search for this issue, it seems it spiked in 2021, and kind of went down. It is not an “unknown” bug but a “feature” — allowing whoever is interested in specific users to watch everything they do online. Depending on your country, you might have a different perspective on security and privacy.
