AI in Genetics — mtDNA in Salme Ships Vikings — how a human in 2024 can be connected to ALL of them( Vikings)?
A couple of days ago, the data set was updated, giving me a list of places to visit ( see below). However, I have to say, chasing royals ain’t that interesting because those lineages are very well documented, but Salme Ships Vikings keep bringing new surprises. What am I looking at from the metadata perspective? Why does the robot think that I am related to all of them, but they are not related to each other? Is it a data issue? Is there a common ancestor between ALL of the Vikings? To add some more exciting things, Kronan https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kronan_(ship) ship ill-fated sailors were related to the Salme Ships Vikings ( and me). Is the fate written in genetics?
However, one difference is that in Kronan’s case, most of them are not so royals, but on Salme ones they are almost 99% ancestors of almost all noble Europe. How does it work? Why? Here is an example of my “places to visit based on the DNA”. Based on the DNA set the reccomendations differ a bit, but the overall theme is Northern Europe.
